Ihtiwin Business School is an Indigenous-led institution dedicated to cultivating the next generation of business leaders. Our mission is to provide culturally grounded, real-world business education that empowers communities to thrive in today’s dynamic economy. We deliver education through a model designed to meet learners where they are — both geographically and in their journey:

1. Community-Based Learning: We partner with communities to deliver our curriculum in a way that builds local capacity. Through a train-the-trainer approach, we prepare local educators to teach Ihtiwin’s business programs — ensuring students learn from someone they trust, in a setting that reflects their values and realities.

2. Online Learning Platform — Nîkân: Our online platform, Nîkân (meaning “ahead” in Nehiyawin), offers flexible, accessible online programs — and soon, an AI-powered business simulator. This simulator uses real-world business cases and market conditions to teach teamwork, critical thinking, and decision-making. Students compete in a simulated business environment and receive live AI feedback on the impact of their strategies — offering an internship-style experience for those who can’t leave their community.

3. Mobile Classrooms: We bring education directly to remote communities through fully equipped mobile classrooms — ensuring no learner is left behind due to geography.

4. Quality Course & Program Development: At the core of Ihtiwin Business School is a commitment to developing high-quality, practical business courses and programs. Each offering is designed with real-world application in mind — from foundational concepts to advanced strategies — and built to meet the needs of learners at every stage.
